Hélène Letnick Art - Thanks for Visiting!

About Hélène

Hélène Letnick was born and grew up in the suburbs of Montreal, Quebec and then lived 18 years in Banff, Alberta where she got married and started her family.

She moved to Kelowna, BC in 1999 with her husband and three children.

Although surrounded as a child by her mother's love for art, she discovered her passion for painting later as an adult.

If one word could describe Hélène's journey as an artist it would be "Exploration".

She fell in love with the versatility of acrylic and the intense playfulness of mixed media. She favours acrylic paint, plaster, various mediums, paper and objects from nature (sand, bark, leaves, stones, etc...).

Some of her favorite tools are brushes, palettes knives, sponges, combs and scrapers (or as seen here, whatever will do the job).

She works primarily on canvases and cradled boxes.

Her art is expressed and driven by a high level of emotion and is continually inspired by the world around her.

"I've got a passion for what I'm doing and I feel privileged all the time."
